His versatility speaks volumes with songs like “It Wasn’t Suicide,” “Melanin” and “Get Yo Goofass Outta My Face.” Landon Battles has superseded rap stereotypes by crossing genres such as Reggae, Pop and R&B with his Hip-Hop infusion. Upon debuting his first mainstream single, “Link Card,” in 2010, the music video sored to over 100,000 views on YouTube. Since then Landon Battles has performed all over the country and released a total of four mixtapes and three albums.
Landon Battles began his musical pursuit as a DJ, spinning various events in the Peoria, IL area. After gaining local notoriety, the young disc jockey was given an opportunity to DJ and host “The Space Station,” the college radio station for Bradley University. Further developing his career, Landon began rapping and has since made some astounding accomplishments. Now performing shows just as a rap artist, Landon Battles is able to develop a connection with fans through invigorating stage presence, at every show. It is this enthusiasm that granted him the honor of opening up for Jay Electronica, Twista, Erykah Badu, Katie Got Bandz, Tech N9ne, Lil Debbie and more. Landon Battles has graced the stage in Texas at SXSW and Washington D.C. on election day for the Million MC March.

Landon Battles has successfully released four mixtapes: Mental Lapse (2007), Poetry-N-Motion (2008), Poetry-N-Motion Vol. 2 (2009), Whose’s Beat Is It Anyway? (2009). Additionally, he has released three albums: Monumental Potential (2011), Banger (2013) and Black Gold (2015). Landon Battles music also provides the soundtrack for a hit YouTube series, Always Late T.V. based out of St. Louis, MO. Landon Battles is a rapper who reflects the true artistry of creating great music.
Proving that he is also a man of the people, Landon Battles is a progressive community activist. The rapper mentors young Black males who may be facing gang violence in their neighborhoods and the temptations of a street based lifestyle. Landon strives to be more than a musician, but a role model for all youth, using his music to encourage and uplift people everywhere. He’s quoted, saying:
